Hi, my name is Jemny. This past Easter my brother suddenly passed away and I miss him a lot. Our mom and dad didn't know about HCM yet, so he kind of saved my life. As soon as they learned about his condition, they immediately made an appointment with the doctor to check me out. Turns out, I have it too, but so far it's just mild onset. It stinks! I'm only 4 years old and have to take 4 different medications daily along with nasty fish oil. Although the medication is gross, I actually think it makes me feel less tired and more playful. I'm really showing off my silly personality more than ever before. And I won't lie, the best part about all this is mom and dad spoil me more than EVER! I have my very own heated blanket and get these really tasty taurine treats we didn't have before. Most of all, I'm just glad to have more time to cuddle with my mom and dad. I hope we have many more years together.
